We are one of the busiest university teaching hospital trusts in North West England. We manage three hospitals based on two sites: the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital.  Our hospitals have often been at the forefront of medical breakthroughs during our long history at the heart of the city.

In under a year we will be opening a new state of the art hospital. The new hospital will provide every patient with a single bedroom with en-suite facilities. We believe that modern healthcare is as much about privacy, comfort and dignity as it is about pioneering treatments and cutting-edge technology. Please look at our digital pack for videos and further information: Recruitment Info

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our nursing team in the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust. If you are passionate about providing the highest standards of care to patients and if nothing but the best will do we want to hear from you. In return we will provide a stimulating and challenging role for you with full support to integrate into your team and specialty. The trust is a vibrant and exciting place to work and we are proud of the reputation we have for providing excellence in everything we do, we are forward thinking and will encourage you to contribute your ideas for change and improvement to ensure we continue to be the best. Our aspirations are to be in the top 20 percentile of trusts in terms of high performance and need the right staff to help us achieve this.

We have a number of vacancies in the trust in both our medical and surgical wards. If you are shortlisted you will be given the opportunity to express an interest in your preferred specialty and we will do what we can to accommodate that preference.

Applicants must be currently qualified and already in receipt on NMC registration or due to qualify shortly. Please note that we will use the person specification to undertake shortlisting so you must meet the minimum criteria.

All shortlisted applicants will be expected to undertake a staff nurse assessment paper.

Applicants are advised that interviews and assessments for this advert will take place on 6th December 2017. If you cannot make this date please wait for the next advert which will be published following the closing date with further interview dates.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
