Are you an experienced Emergency Department Nurse looking to develop yourself within a senior sister role, do you have experience as a Band 6 Nurse within ED, are you committed to providing excellent patient care within a busy department working within local and national targets, do you have excellent communication skills and good time management skills along with the ability to work in a well established and dynamic team, if so then this may be the job for you.

We are looking to recruit to complement our already excellent team of Band 7 sisters/Charge Nurses to take an excellent team of Emergency Nurses into our new purpose built Emergency Department in 2018/19.  We provide all staff with educational development through our departmental education team and promote an active coaching environment for all staff.  We also provide a Band 7 development package for new staff within the Emergency Department.

You will be expected to work on a rotational shift pattern to ensure we provide 24 hour senior nurse cover to the department and also as part of your role support the 2 Quality Matrons in meting the national 4 hour targets and also ambulance turnaround times as well as providing a good quality patient experience and excellent patient care. The work-load throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
